J'kotah is on the taller side for his race, standing at 5 fulm, 8 ilm even, with the looks of a constant wanderer. His copper hair hangs just below his shoulders, with hues of blonde highlights woven throughout the thick and coarse locks. His ears are much the same in color, and his eyes are a vibrant jade green, contrasting nicely with the copper of his hair and beige skin. A small patch of facial hair frames his chin, curving around to further accentuate his lower jaw. He bears the face markings common among his people under his eyes, and has further markings that rest upon his nose and cheeks. A long, thin tail is often swaying behind him, covered with coarse and full hair.Honed from years of rigorous training, his form is firm with lithe muscle and a martial artist's wiry build. Several scars mark his skin, notably on his arms and legs, earned from both surviving in the wilds and battle alike. Thick callouses cover the palms of his hands and bottom of his feet, earned from his younger days living and climbing amidst the cliffs of Ala Mhigo. Tattoos mark the skin across his arms, with a design that blends the chakra imagery of his monk training with symbolism of fire and lightning.He is clothed most often in a fairly simple ensemble, fit for both a martial artist and for a life on the road. A set of monk's robes is his favored article of clothing, styled to reflect his training and heritage, and fashioned from the unique silk of the Fist of Rhalgr. The robes are primarily orange, white, and black in color, with accents of brown and gold that evoke roaring flames. His robes are kept fastened to his form with several belts, from which hang ceremonial sashes and gold adornments. He wears a pair of gauntlets reinforced with metal to enhance his unarmed attacks and decorated with a band of coeurl fur in homage to his master. The rest of his clothing consists of black monk pants with an orange fire pattern, leg wraps, and sandals. The only jewelry he bears are two simple golden rings in his ears, and twin necklaces of religious importance.
Personality
Depending on who you ask, J'kotah is either indefatigable in his pursuit of noble and disciplined goals, or utterly incorrigible. In truth, it's a bit of both. Just as he can be unpredictable in combat, he can be equally hard to read as a person. He takes most things in stride, shrugging off even the most terrible of circumstances with a smirk, a witty comment, and a positive attitude. Some have taken this to be mean him to be immature or unable to grasp the severity of some situations, but those who get know him understand that's far from the truth.A firm believer in the idea of everyone being students of the world, J'kotah welcomes experience as the ultimate teacher, and is always on the look out for new adventures. He meets each new encounter with gusto, and is especially welcoming of new foes to test his monk training and mettle against in combat. A constant wanderer, many of his escapades come about from assisting those in need, something he has never shied away from, especially if there's a chance to engage in the thrill of battle.Beneath it all, he has a deep reverence for both the teachings of his master and the traditions of his people. While a devout of Rhalgr, he still has a special place in his heart and mind for Azeyma, the traditional goddess of the Seekers of the Sun. He has a keen survival instinct from his time living amid his tribe, and still has the heart of a hunter, both useful traits for a life on the road.
Abilities
Peak Physiology - Like most Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te, J'kotah has a natural keen strength, heightened agility, and relentless stamina. However, thanks to his intense training with the Fist of Rhalgr and continued exercise routines, he has honed his body to a pinnacle of physical perfection. His strength, stamina, and agility can seem almost superhuman to some, and he can move with blinding speeds.
Master Martial Artist - J'kotah is a highly trained martial artist, among the most deadly of any who wield the ancient combat arts of the Fist Rhalgr, and the greatest warrior of the Cliff Walkers. He is grandmaster of the martial style known as 'Five Temple Element Fist', with unrivaled skill in Golden Opo-opo Boxing and Black Coeurl Claw. He is terrifyingly fast in combat and wields an uncanny strength, no matter if he is striking with fist, foot, or tail.
Acrobatics - Thanks to his martial training and natural Miqo'te agility, J'kotah is a highly skilled acrobat. He can perform feats of gymnastics from a standing position, and environmental obstacles are often trivial. He can leap over chasms, swiftly climb cliffs, and tumble from high perches all in equal measure and with equal skill.
Chakra Manipulation - J'kotah is among the few monks of the Fist of Rhalgr to have opened all fourteen chakra and he is a master at manipulating his own chakra to channel his aether into his martial arts and other feats of physicality. He has also mastered the manipulation of the Beast Chakra and the awakening of the Solar and Lunar Nadi. As a follower of both Azeyma and Rhalgr, he often manipulates his aether to enhance his strikes with fire and lightning.
Survival Skills - Growing up amidst the harsh peaks of Gyr Abania, J'kotah has no shortage of survival skills. He is a skilled hunter and tracker, and knowledgeable in herbalism. He is adept at surviving in harsh environs, particular those of arid or dry climates.

J'kotah is a wandering warrior-monk, having traveled almost the breadth of the world over the years since beginning his journeys. He's met many during this time, and shared a meal with even more.
He was born in the peaks of Gyr Abania, and is a Cliff Walker - one of the septs of the Jackal tribe that makes their home amidst the mountains.
He is highly trained in the Fist of Rhalgr martial art style known as 'Five Temple Element Fist' and grandmaster of Golden Opo-opo Boxing. Wayward pugilists and aspiring monks often seek him out for training.
If there's an adventure to be had, chances are J'kotah will jump at the chance to take part, both to gain a new experience and test his martial prowess once more in combat.

J'kotah's younger sister by several years, J'nelhah was his closest friend until he met X'nakaya, and she remains close to his heart. Trained by their mother in Cliff Walker battle dancing, the two share a love for their traditional martial arts and an unbreakable sibling bond.Though she travels as much as he does, the two still find time to see each other, especially during tribal gatherings. J'kotah knows she looks up to him, and he is incredibly proud of her accomplishments in life.

Crimson Master is the implacable Monk of the Fist of Rhalgr that taught J'kotah in their ways. Grandmaster of Five Temple Element Fist's Black Coeurl Claw, he was one of the few Fist of Rhalgr that survived their downfall in the Ala Mhigan wars.He took in J'kotah when the wayward youth stumbled upon his cavern abode, and passed on his martial knowledge and lineage. Though he has now surpassed his mentor in skill, J'kotah still views him with respect and reverance. They remain in contact to this day.

Rhia is X'nakaya's best friend, having grown up together beneath the trees of the Black Shroud. J'kotah met Rhia in Gridania when X'nakaya introduced them, and he was immediately spurned to show her the world. After all, there is much more to the world than the forests.The pair have become close friends in their travels, though Rhia is often confused at his particular antics or odd outlooks on life. Still, she has taken a liking to the adventuring life and always tries to keep her with her more energetic friends.

J'kotah met the young woman of the G tribe of Gyr Abania during a chance meeting amidst the sands of Thanalan, and though they initially found kinship in their mutual homeland, it was their spiritual connection within the way of the monk that truly brought them together.Her eagerness of spirt and desire to reclaim the ancestral martial arts of her people led J'kotah to reveal an ancient secret of his martial lineage, and he has agreed to train J'din in the way of Jade Griffin Fist. It is upon this new journey that they may yet find a kindred soul in the other.

A young woman of the Cove Wardens sept of the Puk tribe, J'kotah met Q'iidah when she approached him at a Cliff Walker communal feast, seeking to train in the arts of the monk. J'kotah quickly tested her and judged her to be of sound body and spirit, and took her on as his student.He has since begun instructing her in the ways of Five Temple Element Fist and the Golden Opo-opo Boxing form. The young Puk tribeswoman has proven to be an earnest student and a gifted martial artist.

X'nakaya's older cousin of several years, X'kireh is a pirate and machinist who grew up in the Lynx tribe sept that made their own in Gyr Abania. Though she has long since turned away from the traditional tribal life of Seekers of the Sun, J'kotah finds her amusing and with a sharp wit of her own.Though he doesn't quite understand her outlook in life, he appreciates that she cares for X'nakaya and isn't too pressing of her lifestyle on him or her. Still, she could stand to learn you can have fun without stealing or drinking.
